Yummy Bunny
My girls like to make a fun holiday lunch.
Here is one that your kids will love, it is easy and fast to make.
Yummy Bunny
Ingredients
(for one serving)
2 tablespoons of strawberry cream cheese
1 multi-grain English muffin (plain or cinnamon raisin)
2 baby carrots
2 raisins
4 small pretzel rods
1 teaspoon shredded coconut (sweetened or unsweetened) for garnish *optional
2 raw almonds *optional
Adult directions: Slice English muffin in half and place in toaster. Once warm cut in half one slice of the muffin for the ears. Cut the end off one baby carrot for the nose. If your child is not old enough to spread the cream cheese assist him/her with the spreading.
Child directions: Look at the picture and make the bunny with the rest of the ingredients. Enjoy!
*I like to introduce my children to a variety of healthy foods that they wouldn't eat on a regular basis. For this recipe I introduced the almonds and the coconut. I prefer to buy unsweetened coconut so they can really taste the coconut instead of the sugar. But, if you have a pick eater or your child has a nut allergy you may opt out of these two ingredients.
