Eat  a Rainbow

The perfect snack on St. Patrick's Day!
The idea of this blog is not only to have fun providing healthy food for kids, but also providing them with an idea of something they can make on their own, feel proud of their creation and eventually eat what they made. My youngest daughter wants to be a chef and/or baker when she grows up. She loves to cook and help in the kitchen. When we make fun food she feels proud of her creation. I have noticed that all 3 of my kids will eat 97-100% of what's on their plate when they make it.  When I make it, they are more hesitant to try new foods and there is always more food left on the plate.

Before calling your kids over to the kitchen make sure everything is cut and ready for them. Put all ingredients in friendly plastic bows to avoid accidents.

Provide all ingredients and let them create.
Beware, if you have more than one child fighting over ingredients may occur!

If your child needs a visual please feel free to print recipe, have fun!
